Updated: Sep 10

September is where we lock in at Bartow All Stars! Our new gym is feeling like home, routines are built, new programs are launching, and our All-Star teams are getting ready to officially close for the season.

August was about building. September is about consistency, accountability, and getting competition ready.

Here’s what BAS families need to know this month!

A NOTE FROM COACH MONICA

This Month’s Focus: LOCKED IN

September is a different kind of month for BAS.

We’ve moved. We’ve learned choreography. We’ve built our teams. Now it’s time to settle in and focus on making everything better.

For our athletes, that means showing up, working hard, being coachable, and being a good teammate. For our families, it means staying connected, keeping accounts current, and helping athletes honor the commitment they made to their team.

We’re still building BAS, but I’m really excited about what I’m seeing inside our new home.

Now we tighten it up and get ready for competition season!

Thank you for growing with us.

With BAS Pride,

Coach Monica

LET'S TALK PAYMENTS

As we move into competition season, All-Star accounts must remain current.

Tuition is due on the 1st with a grace period through the 5th. Competition fees, uniforms, and other season expenses have their own posted due dates.

All-Star cheer is a team sport, a luxury sport, and a commitment. BAS has deadlines too. Uniforms need to be ordered, competitions registered, and vendors paid.

All accounts must be current by September 15. Athletes with a past-due balance after this deadline will be removed from the competitive roster.

Once rosters are finalized, we can complete competition registration and release our 2026–2027 competition schedule.

If you anticipate a payment issue, please communicate with Coach Monica before the due date.

ALL-STAR TEAMS ARE CLOSING

September 15 is the FINAL deadline to join a BAS All-Star team for the 2026–2027 season.

Current availability:

  • Royal Reign: FULL

  • Untamed: FULL

  • Dollhouse: ONE OPENING

After September 15, all rosters are closed. We will not add athletes during the season.

Our next All-Star evaluations will open in April 2027.

For our current athletes, this means teams are set. Now we build trust, strengthen routines, and get ready to compete!

Competition Schedule: Our 2026–2027 competition schedule will be released once final rosters are confirmed after September 15. Finalizing our athletes allows us to complete registration and lock in the season schedule.

NEW CLASSES START SEPTEMBER 1

There are still plenty of ways to join BAS!

Our expanded September programming includes:

  • Team Sparkle

  • Performance Cheer

  • Tiny Tumbling

  • Tumbling Foundations

  • Level 1 & Level 2 Tumbling

  • Flyer Training

Our new Performance Team gives athletes the team experience without the travel and financial commitment of competitive All-Star cheer. It's also a great stepping stone for athletes interested in All-Star evaluations next April.

And don't forget, BAS is now a Step Up for Students provider!

Eligible families may be able to use scholarship funds toward qualifying programs.

COACH JC BOOT CAMP — SEPTEMBER 12

Our athletes have worked hard at Coach JC Boot Camps all summer! Now that we’re deeper into the season, September 12 will be our last boot camp included for BAS All-Star athletes.

September 12 Schedule

9:00–10:30 AM — Tumbling Boot Camp Open to everyone!

10:30 AM–12:00 PM — Royal Reign Team Practice

Focused on cleaning and improving their competition routine.

12:00–1:30 PM — Stunting Boot Camp Open to everyone!

1:30–3:00 PM — Untamed Team Practice

Focused on cleaning and improving their competition routine.

BAS has covered our summer boot camps to give our athletes extra training.

After September 12, Coach JC Boot Camps will be optional and $25 per athlete.

PARENT REMINDERS

  • Check BAND regularly for team updates.

  • Athletes should arrive on time and ready to practice.

  • All-Star athletes must enroll in their included weekly tumbling class ahead of time.

  • We are looking for parents interested in helping lead fundraising and team-building activities.

BAS PARENT ACADEMY

Now We Clean.

September is where routines become competition-ready.

Practices will focus heavily on:

Timing • Technique • Stunts • Jumps • Tumbling • Conditioning • Performance • Endurance

One of the biggest ways parents can help is still the simplest:

Protect practice attendance.

Every athlete has a job in the routine. When one athlete is missing, an entire stunt group, formation, transition, or section may not be able to practice correctly.

We have limited practice time between now and competition season.

Every practice matters.

Athlete Expectations

Athletes are now on a 1-2-3 system during classes and practices.

Warnings may be given for disrupting class, talking during instruction, disrespect, poor attitudes, or not following directions.

On the third warning, parents may be called to pick up the athlete from class.

PHOTO DAY

Our first BAS photo shoot is Sunday, September 20!

$25 per athlete | BAS practice wear

Please bring payment directly to the photographer that day. Participation is optional, and times will be announced soon.

We'll have another photo shoot later in the season once our competition uniforms arrive.

WHO’S GOT MY BACK JERSEYS

Our first round of Who’s Got My Back jerseys is officially in production! Jerseys will be distributed with competition uniforms so athletes receive everything together.

Missed the first round? We’re opening one final opportunity through September 15. Sponsors contribute $25 per name, and their name will be printed on the back of their athlete’s jersey as a reminder of who’s got their back all season long.

All names and payments must be submitted by September 15.

PARENTS, WE NEED YOUR HELP

We’re looking for 2-3 Team Parents per team to help organize team bonding, competition send-offs, and occasional fundraisers.

Team bonding matters! It helps our athletes build friendships, trust each other, and become stronger teammates on and off the mat.

This is a fun role for someone with a little extra time during practice and you can absolutely team up with another parent. Coach Monica can help with ideas, but my focus needs to stay on coaching and growing the program.

Immediate need: We need help organizing and running our Gift Card Board Raffle. Since participation was lower than expected, we’re combining all donated gift cards into one big Gift Card Board and getting raffle tickets out!

If you can help organize or sell tickets, get with Coach Monica Tuesday night at practice.

Interested? Message Coach Monica.

We’re excited about where BAS is headed. We’re just getting started.

If you have any questions, contact a coach

Please review the latest schedule and enroll your athlete in the correct class or team by looking at options in the parent portal .
